For My Own Contemplation

I was interested in this article in Newsweek about antidepressants, that poses an interesting dilemma. Posting it here for contemplation.

  1. Does "for my own contemplation" mean you don't want to hear others' contemplation?

Just in case, here's my response, in a nut shell: the truth will set you free.
    The longer version:
What happened to "first do no harm"? Anti-depressants DO harm. How can they be sold in good conscience when the doctors now know that the drug is not actually "fixing" the patients? If psycho-therapy actually DOES work and DOESN'T cause harm than that should be what Dr.s recommend to patients. Sounds like drug companies are the real winners. Not because they're evil, but because people prefer a comfortable and convenient lie rather than a difficult truth, even if the truth is far better for them.
